Description
Ponce Pintoresco Pto - Rico 1911
"Hospital Episcopal San Lucas, Ponce, history started at the beginning of the last century when the Episcopal Church identified the need for developing a medical institution to provide health services to the southern population of the Island. This took place in 1906, when a group of Christians members of the first Episcopal Parish in Ponce, the Santísima Trinidad, set forth the initiative. The construction of the old Hospital San Lucas in Calle Guadalupe, Ponce, was made possible through a donation from the Missionary Society of the American Episcopal Church". --Description from Sistema de Salud Episcopal, Hospital San Lucas, Ponce.
